◉ 2019 亚洲插画艺术节 第四批 邀请艺术家名单公布 Asia Illustration Fair : Invited Artists List (IV)

「亚洲插画艺术节」由上海宝龙美术馆、集人artogather、自由人艺术公寓联合主办,举办日期:2019年8月30日至9月1日

Asia Illustration Fair is organized by Powerlong Museum, and Artogather Culture and Art Co.,Ltd. and co-organizer: Freedom Men Art Apartments. AIF will be held from 08.30.2019 – 09.01.2019.

1. Harsh Raman Singh Paul(印度 India)

Harsh Raman Singh Paul是一位印度自学成才的城市艺术家、插画家兼艺术总监,并在新德里经营一家精品平面设计工作室。他的创作是流行艺术、灵性和浓厚印度感的融合,灵感主要来自于国际街头艺术亚文化和“Madhubani”和“Warli”中的传统文化,成为作品的主要背景,他的作品是体验在全球景观中过着印度生活的汤剂。亚文化的多产重新定义了印度的街道,他与Netflix、Absolut、Playboy、Saavn、Fastrack、Tetra Pak、Cosmopolitan等品牌合作,其作品也在众多国际刊物和知名社交媒体中出现。

Harsh Raman Singh Paulis an India based self-taught urban artist, illustrator, art director and run a boutique graphic design studio based in New Delhi. His musings are an amalgamation of pop art, spirituality and a deep sense of Indian-ness. Drawing inspiration from the international street art sub-culture, from ‘Madhubani’ and ‘Warli’ traditions, supplemented with a background in illustration, his work is a decoction of living an Indian life in a global landscape. Prolific within the subculture that has redefined India’s streets, he has worked with brands such as Netflix, Absolut, Playboy, Saavn, Fastrack, Tetra Pak, Cosmopolitan and his vibrant works have been featured in numerous international publications and leading social media houses.

Harsh Raman Singh Paul认为绘画是自由的。当他看到一张空白的白纸时,他看到的是无穷无尽的可能性。 “你可以没有规则的创造任何东西,你只会受到自己想像力的限制。”这就是他喜欢画画的原因。

Drawing is freedom. When Harsh Raman Singh Paul looks at a blank white sheet of paper, what he sees is endless possibilities. “You can create anything, there are no rules and you are only limited by your imagination.”That is why he loves drawing.

Harsh Raman Singh Paul于2007年从国际知名的国家时装技术学院(印度)学习时装设计,并开始与DKNY和Calvin Klein等多家国际时装公司合作。后来他加入了印度第一个也是唯一一个的F1赛车队-Force India。凭藉着对平面设计的热爱,他开始为印度的翠鸟航空工作,并为其数百万美元营销的活动开发了创意,为该活动推出了最新服务-全球航班。

Harsh Raman Singh Paul studied fashion design from the internationally renowned National Institute of Fashion Technology (India) in 2007, and began his career working with a variety of global fashion houses including DKNY and Calvin Klein. He later joined the brand for India’s first and only F1 racing team, Force India. With a new love for graphic design, he began working exclusively for Kingfisher Airlines and developed the creative for Kingfisher’s multi-million dollar marketing campaign which launched its newest offering – global flights.

However, his desire for storytelling attracted him to Bollywood, as award winning producer-director-screenwriter Prakash Jha offered him the position of Assistant Director in his films. Harsh Raman Singh Paul also designed the key posters and various other creative for the films he worked on. And then he realized what he loves is working with his hands – drawing, illustrating and creating art. Since 2012, Harsh Raman Singh Paul has focused his energies on using public art as medium to bring about a positive social and psychological change in society. Harsh Raman Singh Paul is a firm believer that “Art should be for everyone” and can be a powerful tool for self-expression,  and to bring communities together.

2. 李汉强 Kan Kyo Lee台湾 Taiwan)

艺术家。出生于台湾台北市。东京造型大学(造形专攻)硕士毕业。从幼年时看的综艺节目中感受到日本文化的奇妙,于2007年来到日本。

Lee Kan Kyo is a Tokyo-based graphic artist from Taiwan, who obtained his M.A. Degree in Design of Tokyo Zokei University. Since he was a child, he was fascinated by the glamour of Japanese culture on TV shows, and that led him to go ahead to Japan in 2007.

作品题材主要来自于对当代消费社会与生活的观察,如超级市场传单系列、周刊杂志系列,又或是已持续四年的自拍照计划 juicebox selfie(每天喝一盒果菜汁自拍后传上网,每年度把自拍照精选成一幅扑克牌)及最近的李点卡计划(收集人们的卡手绘为李汉强的会员点卡)。

His art works are mostly inspired from modern consumerism of the society and observation of life in Japan such as Supermarket Flyer Series, Weekly Magazine Series, or an ongoing self-portrait photography, which began four years ago, Juicebox Selfie (upload a selfie taken after drinking a box of juice every day, and compile a selection of them to a pack of playing cards). His latest project, Lee point card, (a collection of hand drawings for Lee’s loyalty card).

2014年以日本人数不断增殖的偶像团体为主题,解剖当代社会大量反覆生产、消费现象的作品得到日本“1_WALL”平面艺术大奖。目前居住于日本东京。

In 2014, he created an art work targeting the increasing number of Japanese idol groups to illustrate the mass production and consumerism of modern society,and was awarded the Grand Prize of Graphic Arts in Japan, 1_WALL.

3. 王宗欣 Cowper Wang台湾 Taiwan)

王宗欣,新媒体艺术家,1978年生,华梵大学美术系毕业,主修东方水墨,擅长新媒体创作,自学程式及动态摄影及3d动画艺术,擅长透过数位作品来表达对社会现象观察,对台湾殖民文化下虚假、速成、拼贴产生的荒谬现象提出观点,透过互动媒介的体验中传达出来。

Cowper Wang is a renowned new media artist who was born in 1978. Despite graduating from the department of fine art of HuaFan University with a BA in Chinese Painting, his preferred artistic medium is new media art. He specializes in interactive program, moving images and 3D animation. His works investigates social issues and he shows his research through interactive digital art works. 

2008年创立dosomething studio工作室,以艺术总监身份带领团队执行台湾金钟奖、金曲奖、金马奖典礼视觉包装,擅长将录像艺术作品融入于商业空间中,有很多结合商业跨界的展览经验,作品曾受邀到许多国家展出。dosomething studio团队曾参与展览执行 2018台湾文博会主展馆、2019齐柏林基金会见山特展、2019台湾文博会屏东馆。

Wang is the founder and art director of dosomething studio since 2008. Under his direction, dosomething studio has designed award ceremonies of Golden Bell Award, Golden Melody Award and Golden Horse Award. The dosomething studio specializes in merging video installation with commercial interior space and has worked in collaboration with various institutes. For example, the main venue in Creative Expo Taiwan, 2018; “View Above Mountains Exhibition” in Chi Po-Lin Foundation, 2019; and Pingtung pavilion in Creative Expo Taiwan, 2019. Works of dosomething studio has been exhibited world widely. 

曾经担任策展人策划 Super Fake数位艺术展、台北当代艺术馆末未2013展、小花计划展。

Furthermore, Wang has curated “Super Fake Digital Art Exhibition”, “World is over? 2013” in MOCA Taipei, and “Where Have All The Flowers Gone — These Flowers. Musical Memory & Art Exhibition” in MOCA Taipei. 

作品曾得过Taipei Digital Art Festival(2014)、PromaxBDA Asia Best Sting, Gold Award(2017)、Red Dot Design Award(2017)、Golden Pin Design Award(2018)、Japan GOOD DESIGN AWARD(2018)。

His works have been awarded in Taipei Digital Art Festival, 2014; the Gold Award of PromaxBDA Asia Best Sting, 2017; Red Dot Design Award,2017; Golden Pin Design Award,2018; and Japan GOOD DESIGN AWARD, 2018.

曾担任 腾讯 设计顾问、台北世界大学运动会品牌顾问、金点新秀奖数位多媒体类评审召集人、各项多媒体设计类评审。

Wang was design consultant for Tencent and brand consultant for Taipei 2017 Universiade, He is juror of numerous multimedia design competitions including Golden Pin Design Award.

4. 詹雨树 Raintree Chan台湾 Taiwan)

选择用拼贴创作就像是我很喜欢的科学怪人(Frankenstein) 一样,本身由各种物件组合实验而成。

My favorite character Frankenstein, consists of a combination of various objects made, inspires me to start my work in collage art.

拼贴算是一种再生,可以很任性狂妄的创造怪物,偷偷隐渡暧昧藏匿细节,我很享受这种私密的过程。直觉是我做拼贴的第一步,记忆其实一直潜伏在我的脑里,那些看过的电影画面,可能衔接着低俗小说,或是画作里的角落不协调地堆叠着,感觉像是吸血鬼闻到血的方向,很自然就知道要从哪里咬下第一口吧。喜欢A to Z和Cult Movies。

创作对我来说,是知道自己还能做很多有趣的事;而作品有自己的生命,当它被完成后,传递的讯息将只会存在于它和观者之间。

Collage Art is a process of renewable and recycled which I captivated deeply. The first step of creation starts in the memories, which are hidden in the subconscious, then follow with the instinct. Just like the vampires always know where the blood is. I am always obsessed in the category in A-Z and the absurdity of B Cult films, same as my creation, reminds of me how fascinating it is within myself.
