Introduction:
Josh Cochran works as an illustrator based in Brooklyn, grew up in Taiwan and the United States. Upon graduating from Art Center College of Design with honors in 2005, he began working as an illustrator. His work is commissioned by a diverse group of clients in editorial, advertising, publishing, broadcast and the web. He also teaches at the School of Visual Arts and occasionally fills in as an art director for The New York Times Op-Ed page.
Josh Cochran是布鲁克林的插画师，从小在台湾和美国长大。2005年以优异成绩毕业于艺术中心设计学院，并在毕业后立即开始担任插画师。Josh Cochran的作品受到各种客户的委託，包括编辑、广告、出版、广播和网络。他在视觉艺术学院任教，偶尔也会担任纽约时报专栏的艺术总监。
Josh Cochran is specialized in bright, dense and conceptual illustrations. He works in a variety of materials, and has a diverse, constantly evolving set of styles. His fantastically atmospheric, often surreal illustrations, building in textural complexity and narrative devices. The lines in the painting are complex but not chaotic, and the collocation of color are very coordinated, giving a tranquil and comfortable feeling.
Josh Cochran擅长绘製明亮、密集和概念性的插画，在绘画上使用各种不同的媒材，拥有多样性且不断发展的新风格。他的作品非常大器，往往是超现实的插画，画作中的线条繁而不乱，色彩搭配得恰到好处，给人平静、舒服的感觉。
Josh Cochran says, “Being a good illustrator means you’re practicing and maintaining your technical skills all the time.”
Even though he’s been around for ages, he still manages to keep his work endlessly fresh, it’s worth learning.
