As a vital contributor and influential artist in the world, Barbara Nessim has always been original in her thinking and creativity and inspired by her mother, a clothing designer. She is recognized by her creative approach to image-making, Nessim was among the few female freelance illustrators of her time. In 1980, she began using the computer to create published and works. Never short of inspiration, she attributes the consistent creativity in her work to her fine training as an artist, and relies almost on her sketchbooks to generate new ideas.
作为世界上重要的贡献者和有影响力的艺术家，Barbara Nessim在她的思想和创造力上一直是原创的，并且受到她的母亲—-一位服装设计师的启发。她以创造性的图像创作方式得到认可，Nessim是她那个时代少数几位的女性自由插画家之一。 1980年，她开始使用电脑创作出版物和作品。从不缺乏灵感的她，将工作中源源不绝的创造力归功于她作为艺术家的严密训练，并且依靠她的速写本来产生新的点子。
Nessim is full of passion on her work and desires to bring something more meaningful to her art; it set the stage for her long and illustrious career that has inspired many others along the way. We can see her illustrations have appeared in most important magazines, from The New York Times to Rolling Stone, and her paintings have spread to museums and galleries all around the globe. Today, she focuses on the creation of large-scale works for public buildings, and continues to create personal art for exhibition in New York City and beyond.

Fashion and music have the influence on Nessim. On her sketchbooks, we can see her attempts to raise that consciousness of women right. Girls are blinded by their sunglasses, straitjacketed by their clothes, or are forced to view the world through men’s eyes. But all of these has the meaning behind, “that in a male-centered world it was all right to include women equally.” she said.
时尚和音乐对Nessim带来影响。在她的速写本上，我们可以看到她试图提高女性意识。女孩们被太阳镜蒙蔽，被衣服束缚，或被迫透过男人的眼睛看世界。但这些都具有背后的意义是，「在以男性为中心的世界里，女性应该被平等的包含其中。」她说。
